Usually in Japan, (therefore in anime), people are called by their last names unless you're really close friends. that's why most of them are addressed by their last name (so Fushiguro's name is actually Megumi, Fushiguro is the last name) Hope that makes sense.

It’s very cutesy which goes against his serious character which is why the girls got flustered. That joke didn’t translate great lmao

2023-02-05 08:26:10 +0000 UTCJoey your analysis of where your japanese pronunciation was off is pretty spot on, they emphasis syllables much less than we do in english. Also japanese tends to be pronounced exactly how it looks with few deviations, like fushiguro has the same sound for U in both places even though in english that would be two different sounds.
