So why was he able to do it when he threatened Reiner & Bertolt while carrying Mikasa in S2 E12? Just curious...maybe there's a time limit on how long he can use it after making contact with royal blood? Idk, I'm editing the S2 E12 episode right now and it's my favorite episode in the series so I wanted to know why this was!!!

We later see Dina still Wandering inside the walls outside trost. Technically there was a small chance of grisha seeing Dina as he made his way to eren to deliver the founding and attack. He could very well have used the founding that day the walls fell.

Or would you still choose armin over Erwin. Erwin with the colossal titan, or armin with the colossal? It’s almost poetic how the show wrote it to be where, the most pacifist, peaceful character (armin), got the power of destruction.

2022-08-18 21:19:09 +0000 UTCThe reason why eren was able to use the coordinate in season 2 because the titan that he punched is Dina fritz which is have a royal blood. You can only use the the coordinate if youre a descendant of a royal blood.

2022-08-18 17:16:32 +0000 UTCWell.. Not really. U can actually see a small scene where the weird worm thing captures zeke within Eren's transformation. Which makes his titan constantly in contact with zeke, hence why he can keep using the rumbling.

I'm sure they would've tested something like that at least. And at this point, does it really matter? He got Zeke anyway lol

2022-08-18 16:47:07 +0000 UTCThe most logical explanation is that Isayama probably made it that there's a lingering connection to The Paths/Ymir after making contact, merged DNA through skin cells or something of the sort. Eren definitely knows that just making contact for a short period of time isn't enough to keep the connection with the Founder for a very long time and that's likely why he kept Zeke with him when he turned into the Hallucegenia/Centipede Titan lol

2022-08-18 16:31:35 +0000 UTCSPOILERS for S2 and S3. Eren doesn't have royal blood which is needed to use the power of the coordinate. Grisha's first wife/ mother to Zeke/ killer of Eren's mom who he punched in that scene where he used the coordinate had royal blood.

2022-08-18 16:27:31 +0000 UTCCuz he touched Dina after punching her hand, he ordered the other titans in the area to eat her. Then when carrying Mikasa he ordered them to stay away. There must’ve been a time limit between touching Dina and ordering Reiner to get away. Makes the most sense to me.

2022-08-18 16:26:02 +0000 UTCRemember when he punched the hand of the smiley titan? The smiley titan is of Royal Blood, so when he punched her hand, he was able to use the coordinate. Not sure on the time limit of its effectiveness, but that is what triggered it.
