Season 6 Retrospective Sneak Peak

Hi all! You all voted for the Season 6 Retrospective as the next big video, so that is what I am working on. Still chipping away at it! Enjoy a clip from the current progress.

A lot of people want the Top 10 Hidden Gems video, and I do too! After I finish the Season 6 Retro, I will make that so we can finally get it off the poll board! And then I'll open a new poll once that is nearing completion. Hope this is ok with everyone!

Be back soon with more updates!

The first season to have widescreen shots. Season 7 was the first one to be shot entirely in widescreen (minus stock footage). Season 9 was the first season where EVERY shot was shot in natural 16:9.

Can you use Sea Shanty II from Runescape as bg music in your Sodor's Finest on Salty?

Glad to be to see this being first thing after joining this tier. As for my thoughts on season 6, this was the last season I saw episodes on exclusively through VHS tapes. Never saw season seven on VHS tapes and even during times I saw HiT episodes on TV, I didn’t much attention since I would either be too old (about as old as 9-10 can be), or at someone’s house visiting and too ashamed to watch it. That and even that young, I was not a fan of Michael Brandon’s voice. Man…time goes by fast. Either way, I can’t wait to watch this whenever it comes out!!

While I’m more than ready for the Season 6 Retrospective, I’ll admit that I am curious about the Hidden Gems video. Will it refer to episodes like Love Me Tender and The Railcar And The Coaches, or will it completely blindside me? I’m anxious to see what happens!

I'm super hyped for this one, Series 6 was the season I grew up with and is by far the season I'm most nostalgic for. Can't wait to see it!

Can’t wait for this one. I’m sure there’s a LOT to talk about with how the show changed post-TATMR. Sad we’ve gotten past the “golden age seasons” of your retrospectives because there was so many positive things to talk about. And now we’ll be entering the “decline”. But to see and hear your takes on the decision making behind these newer seasons is what I’m excited to watch.

S6 is definitely an interesting one because you kind of get the sense there was a lot of conflict between Mitton and HiT. Mitton actually left because HiT inhibited his creative freedom.
