this song is going to be on "demo 2013" which is yet another compilation of old songs, only this time from 2013 (I already posted a track from this album on patreon). I don't know exactly when I started recording this but I know that I stopped recording in january 2014. what you hear now has nothing new added to it, just remastered the recording. this means it had to be late 2013 when I actually recorded everything (i'm thinking december). the melody at the end I came up with sometime in spring of 2013, like may. I remember vividly being in school and literally just thinking about the melody in my head and I would start crying. if you had asked me back then what the personally most emotional melody I could think of was it would definitely be this one. something about it was so heartbreaking. I don't have the written lyrics anywhere but the only part I ever recorded was:

"I long for you to sing to me as the autumn leaves dance their way to the earth
but we will live forever

and we'd kiss like stars together in the wind so pure"

back then I had a lot more I wanted to do with this song. between the first part (intro) and the rest of the song I imagined adding more, with more lyrics, and the rest would be the epic ending. it was going to be this big story, but I never did anything with that idea. this is why most of the song is instrumental, but it's fine in the end. I don't know if I ever wrote more to the lyrics. I want to find them, they should be somewhere in one of my notebooks. i looked for them but couldn't find them and I gave up for now. the song is about longing for true love, true holding, and a pure perfect moment, as pure as youth. all I wanted in that moment was to return
