life - blue as your wounds

in late 2018 I moved to a new city and tried forming a band to play life. this worked out great for a little while, everyone was learning the old songs, and I even started writing new material for us to work on and ultimately play/record. then that entire band fell apart because of personal drama (my fault lol). anyway those "new" songs I kept in my memory and knew that one day I wanted to actually seriously record them for life. it took me 3 years but here I am. the last song I posted "I want to go home" was one of these songs but only some of that song was actually written back then. this song however "blue as your wounds" was entirely composed in october 2018 (at least drums and guitar). there's a video of me rehearsing it with the drummer that was going to play for life here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yZHk6ToWAuvjckKYnwikIhX65EcrNff_/view?usp=sharing october 27 2018. none of the lyrics were written at this point but I had some vocal ideas (honestly just the intro). then october of this year I actually recorded these songs and wrote lyrics for blye as your wounds. the lyrics are more current and have to do with my connection to something personal, and the burning desire there always is to feel like I have to hold all things beautiful
