Moving to monthly subscriptions Dec 1
Added 2024-10-31 23:05:30 +0000 UTCBack in August, we learned about a Patreon update that meant we'd have to move away from our current payment model. Right now, I charge $5 per book when a new book comes out. Because of payment terms between the Patreon and Apple platforms, the current model is being phased out, so I was looking at the possible ways we might move forward.
Thank you to everyone who commented to let me know what would work best for you! It turns out that Patreon and subscription-based billing are a convenient model for most of my readers here.
New monthly subscription model for $3 per month
I've chosen to stick with Patreon and move forward with a monthly subscription model starting December 1 at $3 per month. If all goes well, this means that November payments will be paused entirely as we set up for the transition.
Also: thank you to everyone who told me how much my writing means to them, and supported me in making whatever change I need to to support my own writing process. I appreciate that a lot, and if we do need to move away from Patreon at some point, I'll give you a heads up well in advance.

No, you shouldn't have to do anything. We're waiting on a Patreon process to churn through on their end. We're not quite late enough for me to go looking for a poking stick, but we're close. Once the change is fully propagated, I'll post here to update everyone. -G
