Sales Tax coming to Patreon July 1st
Added 2020-05-20 23:46:52 +0000 UTCI don't know if supporters already got an email about this, but sales tax is coming for some people in the sketch tiers.
How much extra you will be paying is determined by sales tax in your location. In the US, some states don't actually charge tax on digital goods, so this shouldn't even affect most of you. I'm not sure about other countries.
"Within the US, we estimate that less than half of all patrons will have sales tax added to their pledge. Outside the US, it very much depends on the country where a patron is located."
My commissions aren't considered a tangible good, so most of you won't be affected! I just wanted to make sure this didn't surprise anyone.
