Community Update: The last mile. - July 5, 2024

Hey everyone and welcome back to the regular community update!

This summer I think there will be fewer updates, likely just once a month, that's because I am sprinting along and plan on completing 5 different explainer videos over the next two months - on the Korean High Speed Rail network, Rome's Metro, Philadelphia, the Rhine-Ruhr Region, and Shenzhen China. Its a ton of work and I am finding myself working overtime to get things done, so I am going to slim down my communications while I roll up my sleeves.

Outside of the explainer videos I have a few videos on other topics I am quite excited about - I am going to do another video on high speed metros, a Boston vs. Toronto showdown, a video on the Portland Max Tunnel project which that city would benefit immensely from, and a video on why features on public transport like Wifi are while non-essential also not superfluous.

At the same time, I am tuning up the various early release videos I have pushed out onto Patreon over the last few months for final release in the latter half of the year while I take a much needed break, all coming together to mean I will probably be slightly less responsive. That being said I try to reply to all Patreon messages and comments within a week, so please bear with me!
