This year, our neighbourhood is having a window painting contest and naturally, we took to one of our favourite canvases of all. Diane is the owner of The Hair Committee and she's just about the most passionate supporter of the arts I've ever known. She always gives us creative free reign and lets our imaginations run wild.
The winter witch is by the stunningly talented Heather Cargio, the gorgeous lettering art is by the even more gorgeous Sarah Fernando and I got to paint all the mountains my heart desired. The quote is from Alice Munro's "Lives of Girls and Women" and it's actually a throwback to one of our previous winter windows but a bit of an "extended cut" :)
Huge thanks to Heather and Sarah for making me look good, to Diane for crying when she loves a painting and providing the best canvas, and to Wellington West for being the coolest neighbourhood.
Big thanks to all of YOU for supporting the work I do and making these projects possible. You are all a giant blank canvas of endless possibility and creative freedom. Love.
