Cachusa concepts (Act I)

Attire of somber colors worn for her mourning period, lamenting much aside the death of her husband.

----

Cachusa's design during the years hiding in the wilds. Little remains of her former dress except in repurposed scraps, covering herself in a "procured" cloak to preserve some modesty despite inwardly reveling in ferality.

-----

The latente form is the true form of the Penumbra, lithe-like of pallid hues, with great wings. It is thought they are cousins to the Aerolite as they too possess wings. Unflatteringly, so are the Dragynseed, who in many ways, share similar characteristics. This form is distinguished from their huema form, or suppressed. This is believed to be in relation to the abyss, as the latente form absorbs abyssal energy. Though it can drive all mad with prolonged exposure, the Penumbra are the most resilient showing little effect over centuries, even able to harness it into magik.

After Lithavania fell, this form was mysteriously lost except Adriana Arcturus, which she believes is because she was not present in in the great city at the time. Cachusa was able to regain her latente form during the traumatic abuse endured by her father-in-law.

Adriana explained she would need to be near abyssal wells to maintain her body and mind in her fragile state until balancing herself. Progressively she worsened, circumstances requiring Cachusa defend she and Miriam numerous times. Though acting to protect her child, malevolence was behind any that threatened without mercy, the abyss twisting her further.

In response, she gained a new form, one more monstrous. Fragile in appearance as her mind is, it still possess immense strength compared to most creatures. This fallen latente form is most proficient in magik, drawing upon the abyss without thought like chaos magik, yet contradictory to her state, without instability. Only Miriam can still and bring her mother back to her senses.
