2024-08-11 17:39:17 +0000 UTCI loved this movie when I saw it in the 90s! Are aware of the popular fan theory that Connery's character in this movie is literally a former 007 agent. (This explains why Bond is always in prime fighting age right about now, and explains George Lazenby's comments: "This never happened to the other man!" when he took over for Connery. Yes, that was Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese. Also Corporal Hicks in Aliens) Also the Candyman plays Captain Evil! This was my first Michael Bay experience and I was not yet familiar with his trademark tropes (Splosions and sassy love interest hanging out in HQ listening to her man go into danger.) This movie was great fun!
