This is not an unusual practice and exists under different names, but the branch called Entimas incorporates deeper truths related to the Penumbra, so speculation that Penumbra or Umbra founded it.
Viktoria becomes familiar with Entimas during her time as a courtesan and would increase her hauntings by the daemon.
