Announcement! Red Lantern 'Windrose'

This was meant to be dropped at the end of September, but then we were hit by the hurricane. But I'm undaunted. Delayed or not, I'm still very excited to talk about this.

My next Novel Project is entitled 'Red Lantern - Windrose'

This is the 'Anchor Series' of Red Lantern, namely the story that takes place throughout the graphic novels. Probably most people's entry into the series. I will be novelizing the main story, over the course of the next 2 years. It is slated to be 3 total novels, fully illustrated and finalizing the complete story for the central story-line of the Red Lantern universe.

To be clear, this does NOT mean I've halted work on the graphic novel series, but it does mean I've accepted that illustrated novels have become my strong suit, and earnestly are a FAR better and more inclusive, in-depth way for me to tell a story with so many characters and converging story-lines. Putting my ego aside as a 'comic' artist has been hard, but I am one person, and the comic pages take 40-50 hours apiece and do not allow me a survivable income. It's a passion project and will remain so, but I think it's just about time, after over a decade, that you all got the full story, wouldn't you say?

I'll be dropping a ton of WIPs for new content and illustrations for the series over October, including some special art for the Kickstarter we'll be doing for the books at the end of the month. This is crucial, since this is a long project. I'll have more details on that in a week or so. But don't worry if KS isn't your thing, you'll still get the book here. Speaking of...

FINALLY, yes, like all of my other novels, you all will be part of the beta process! I'll be posting chapters of Windrose right here on Patreon, on the Full Story tier, every month, as well as any accompanying artwork. I'll have more teasers other than the WIPs up-top to post soon, including interior illustrations of NEW scenes. The first novel will cover the story you've likely read already, namely the events of Red Lantern - The Crimson Divine and Conviction, but thanks to having space to spread my wings, I can include scenes I did not have time for in the comic. I'm genuinely incredibly excited.
