MUCH delayed. This section was hyper specific with engineering and required a lot of research that I may have screwed up anyway, despite my best efforts. Turns out a lot of the history on specific capstan engineering for ships of the line, let alone Man of Wars, is fractured and often contests with itself. Also, this is a setting with people who vary in strength and size compared to humans, so. . . suffice it to say, I did my best. Please, all the same, tell me if you think I got something DRASTICALLY wrong!

Coming up on the final fight!

"When real nerve won’t avail you, pride often will." I'm a bit late to this one but wonderful work as always, Rukis!

Mayelo

yeah, Tre is right here, but I can see how that'd read wrong, I'll change it

Rukis

It sounded to me like Rukis was pinpointing an area of the forecastle towards the rear.

Trejaan Cavelion

actually, the forecastle is the raised deck that comes after the foredeck and before the main deck.

“Not if he’s ready for a fight,” I murmured. “He’ll be closer to the stern, on the forecastle. Better line of sight, closer to his best men. Safer.” The forecastle is at the pointy end of the ship, not the stern. Great chapter!

Brilliant work Rukis, great job on the nautical accuratcy. And lots of introspective conversations and action.

And thank God I had taken that piss!°°

Great addition! My fave bit: "I was a bloody Privateer, damnit. Grayson Reed, Admiral of the Manoratha. The gilded black wolf, tempest of chaos, the unwanted castoff of a Cartel Magnate. And more importantly, I wasn’t about to be a whimpering bitch in front of my greatest rival."
