Chapter 58: Know Yourself and Your Enemy and You Can Fight a Hundred Battles Without Danger

Since Adam Wayne promised Bruce he would deal with Frozen Man, he wasn’t about to waste time. Preparation was key, and Adam was nothing if not thorough.

The first step was to finalize the sub-dimensional energy manipulator. Over the next two days, Adam poured his efforts into completing the device. Finally, he held the finished product in his hands—a sleek, silver-white ring that gleamed faintly under the lab lights.

Slipping it onto his index finger, Adam couldn’t help but marvel.

“Technology really is magical,” he muttered. “No wonder the man in the white coat called this the Supreme Lord of the Rings.”

The ring’s ability to unleash super-low temperatures with precision was undeniably extraordinary. For a moment, he allowed himself to bask in the achievement before setting it aside to focus on the next task: analyzing Frozen Man.

“Skynet, pull up surveillance footage from the economic zone,” Adam ordered.

Within moments, Skynet had compiled footage from security cameras, private recordings, and even cell phone videos of last night’s battle. Bruce Wayne’s encounter with Frozen Man had been a destructive one. Half the block had turned into a winter wonderland, complete with iced-over buildings and frozen cars.

Adam leaned forward, analyzing every detail of Frozen Man’s appearance. His armor resembled a heavily modified biohazard suit. The mask, reminiscent of a gas mask, was likely designed for breathing in subzero environments. On his back, Frozen Man carried a tank-like apparatus connected to a flamethrower-shaped device. But instead of fire, the weapon emitted a dense, white mist that flash-froze everything it touched.

“Interesting…” Adam muttered. “That mist isn’t just cold—it’s a highly efficient heat transfer agent. It freezes objects almost instantly, bypassing the natural delay of heat conduction.”

He noted the rapid freezing effect on human targets. Under normal circumstances, even extreme cold would take time to freeze a body completely. But Frozen Man’s mist managed it in seconds.

“Skynet,” Adam said, “record this. Frozen Man’s mist contains a high-efficiency heat transfer agent. Investigate possible chemical compositions and prepare countermeasures.”

The AI’s calm voice responded, “Recording complete. Recommendations?”

Adam thought for a moment. “Equip my armor with internal heating systems and apply non-icing materials to the exterior. We’ll also need cryogenic-resistant alloys—order Type 2 Cryogenic Alloy from Stark Industries.”

“Order placed,” Skynet confirmed.

Adam continued watching the footage, paying attention to Frozen Man’s combat style. His suit seemed to offer some level of bullet resistance, though its true durability was untested.

“Frozen Man’s armor is probably reinforced, but he doesn’t seem to have any additional combat abilities,” Adam mused. “His strength lies in his freezing tech. As long as we counter the cold, he’s just another guy in a suit.”

A smirk spread across Adam’s face. “He’s not as intimidating as he thinks.”

After compiling all the necessary data, Adam turned his attention to locating Frozen Man. He didn’t have to wait long—Skynet quickly traced his whereabouts.

“Master Adam, Frozen Man is currently hiding at 43 Grandy Street,” Skynet reported.

Adam raised an eyebrow. “Right next to the police station? Bold choice.”

It wasn’t surprising, though. Gotham’s police force had a reputation for being ineffective at best and corrupt at worst. They couldn’t handle petty thieves, let alone supervillains. Adam sighed.

“Send a message to Commissioner Gordon,” Adam said. “Tell him there’s a potential biohazard near 43 Grandy Street. Ask him to organize an evacuation. We don’t want any civilians getting caught in the crossfire.”

“Message sent,” Skynet replied.

With the preparations underway, Adam shifted his focus to his own armor. Over the past few months, he’d upgraded it with cutting-edge technology, including a new reactor core using advanced elements developed by Tony Stark. This would be the perfect opportunity to test the armor’s capabilities.

“Skynet, have the armor modifications finished yet?”

“Modifications are complete. Your armor is ready for deployment,” the AI reported.

Adam’s excitement grew. Frozen Man might not be the most challenging opponent, but this fight would serve as a valuable field test. And besides, taking down a supervillain wasn’t just about justice—it was also about making a statement.

“Time to suit up,” Adam said with a grin.

As the automated systems prepared his armor, Adam couldn’t help but feel a surge of anticipation. Tonight, Gotham would witness the full power of Wayne technology.

And Frozen Man? He wouldn’t know what hit him.
