February update: things happen so much

Hey, everyone! It's the worst month of the year, but the best day of the month: Update Post Day. Here's what's new.

Cool stuff

First, here's a new release I'm excited about:

The music video I directed for Avery Lake's song "Pop Quiz" came out a couple days ago. It's glitchy and noisy and pretty ~out there~. We spent months putting it together, and Avery & I are really proud of it. Watch it here!

The Pop Quiz video was my main focus last month. I also finished editing a short film I think you'll like a lot, but I'm not sure when that will be out. 

Less cool stuff

Since the start of 2022, I haven't had the mental bandwidth to hunker down and finish a new video. This is partly because other projects (music video/short film/Trans PULSE Canada) have kept me busy, but it's also because my attention span has been shot. I've been working on two scripts, but they've yet to "click", and writing has been a real challenge. The harassment campaign in December and January really took the wind out of my sails, and has me worried about what'll happen next time I upload. It's not super conducive to free expression.

I told you last month that my next video could be out in February, and that's not looking realistic at this point. This month will be much less busy than January was, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get back on track with the next video, but I don't want to promise a release window just yet.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, folks! Having this page as a steady source of income is genuinely life-changing. I'm grateful I can take the necessary time to make the videos as good as possible, instead of pumping one out every month.
