Hey guys!
Happy April. :) I hope you are all well! Currently, all my 3 boys (Dante, Omi and Thor) are taking naps hahaha! So, I'm at the computer trying to come up with some ideas.
The Mass Effect trilogy remaster is slated to be released in May and I've seen a few comments on the Reignite video from folks asking for a "remaster", or rather, a rerecording of it.
I love the idea and would personally love to have a chance to rerecord it since I have new (and hopefully improved) sound libraries + vocal lessons. I'm curious what it would sound like now...
There's always the risk, of course, of not ending up with something better than the original. The original has had 9 years to sit around in my head... it's kinda like the Dragonborn remaster... it will be a fun exercise, but you often can't beat the OG's. hahaha!
So, this is my April plan. To rerecord Reignite.
I almost had a mini panic attack because I could not find the original session file. I thought I had lost it since there was only a final mix export of the song in the Reignite folder, not the working file...
Turns out, I created the session file before the song was what it was, and so it was just named "Mass Effect". hahaha! Found it! Crisis averted.
This may also be the perfect time to share some of the process of writing the lyrics. I have all the notebook pages with ideas... some super horrible... hahaha... and I think I wanna scan them and share them with you. Is this something you'd like?
I also found this old demo I made of the music of Normandy... What if I were to rerecord a nicer version of it to serve as an intro to the new remaster? For those of you who played the game, does the music make you feel something? Or is it unfamiliar? (since the arrangement of it is different and not electronic)

There's one more idea I'm going to try and I'll share it if there's potential... :D
Big hug from Mexico. Thanks for being here month after month. Especially as I've been getting life back on musical track.
