New Project Update 5
Added 2024-03-20 17:00:14 +0000 UTCBy now I should have created at least 2 episodes of this new story. Mismatched is looking like it's ending in May or June at the latest. But I think I'll be taking a break after Mismatched. I've been working for more than 3 years non stop on it. I guess I deserve a vacation.
The details of this break will be discussed in a dedicated post and not this one.
I'll talk a little more about Phobos and Commander Sinclair in this post.
Phobos is trapped, caged against his will. Although no one else is to blame for his current predicament but himself. Terrorizing the city and destroying everything that gets on this way just to get Deimos will get anyone locked up in the worst kind of places.
To his luck, the higher ups at the military force are willing to give him a second chance to redeem himself.
So the only way out for Phobos is in.
Commander Sebastian Sinclair is probably the only one in Base who cares about Phobos's physical and mental well being. While everyone else treats him like a deadly piece of junk, the Commander can't help but see him as human since he at least looks (and sometimes acts) the part.
It doesn't help that the Commander is new at his job. Some perceive him as reckless and naive. And his care for Phobos can be seen as preferential treatment.
(I changed the commander's design slightly since I wasn't fully satisfied with it)
Sinclair just cares about Phobos's well being. He doesn't secretly like him or anything like that🤭.
