Shadows of the Limelight, Ch 23, and a brief note

This is the last proper chapter of Shadows; there will be two appendices, both dealing with the magic system, plus an epilogue. All that will be posted by the end of October at the latest (but hopefully before then). After that comes the process of editing Shadows into a proper book which I'm hoping to self-publish in the next six months. The hard copies and web version will both be available into the foreseeable future; I plan to clean up both a little bit with some of the easier edits plus another sweep to catch typos and corrections before I embark on proper editing.
Come November, I'll be doing National Novel Writing Month, which will be a continuation of "The Dark Wizard of Donkerk", which I started last year.
Once November is done, I'm not sure what I'll be writing, but it's most likely going to be work on one of my existing projects. I will also be getting "The Case of the Sleeping Beauties" out in the near future, once I get some more feedback from my beta readers.
Metrics: It has been 5 months, 22 days since the first chapter of Shadows was published. The word count total is 164,454, which comes out to 945 words per day. I'd give myself an A- for output, an A- for planning, and a B+ for sticking to deadlines. (Word count is about as useful of a metric for authorial productivity as lines of code are for programmer productivity, but it's what we've got available.)
