10/27/24 Writing Update
Added 2024-10-27 13:39:59 +0000 UTCIt was a light week for writing last week, and I anticipate the next three weeks will be light as well.
The reason for this is I'm giving notice at the day-job 11/4 with a last day of 11/15. I'm phrasing it as 'retirement', since I'm leaving the industry, so maybe they'll give me a party?
The last few days and this coming week are going to be impacted by last minute stuff I need to do to prepare for the change -- insurance, 401k planning, etc. -- and second-guessing my decision.
Yes, even with Warlock generating 13x the revenue I targeted for being comfortable with the change, I'm still second-guessing it, because I'm risk-averse. :D I've been with the same company for 27 years, so this is a huge change.
The Warlock 2 initial chapters should be ready to post after that, and I'm currently working on two extra scenes for content here. One of those might be ready before the 15th, and we're also working on some non-cover pics of the girls that will probably be revealed here before then as well.

Warlock was one of the most fun reading experiences I’ve had in a long time. Looking forward to more for sure!

2024-11-01 03:18:08 +0000 UTCI posted this elsewhere but seems more relevant here. :Hate to sound like a doom piller, and you know your situation best, but be very sure before you quit the day job. A good friend of mine had a so so series. Then he had a huge breakout series. He quit the day job and bought an RV, intending to write and sell at cons. Then covid happened. Same author also had health insurance issues. Larry Corriea, whose sold a few books didn't quit the day job till he had his 6th bestseller. Best of luck with your decision.

2024-10-27 15:18:07 +0000 UTCComing from a fan of warlock 1, I think you have the skills to do it. You should have some confidence in yourself! Good luck either way
