Akagi^2 on hiatus for a bit

First of all, a welcome and a huge thank-you to my new patrons. Your contributions really helps with getting this comic out and I truly appreciate it.
I'm going to hold off on releasing any new Akagi^2 comics for the next few weeks or so, because it appears there's going to be another in-game event similar to the one that introduced Akagi-chan, Zeppy, etc last year or so with the announcement of Mini-Illustrious today and I assume there will be a few more of these new characters announced over the next few days. This last comic saw me trying to give a bit of a backstory to Little Renown, because I thought her addition was just another promotion and nothing beyond that. This latest storyline (of mine) isn't limited to Little Renown, it acts as a springboard to a major part of Akagi^2's overall storyline. Even thought this is just a fancomic, I'm doing my best to keep everything meshed with AL canon so that anyone reading it won't have to remind themselves they're reading a fancomic. I can see the real possibility of wide divide between my story and where AL proper is going, and I just don't want that to happen. I may even retcon the latest comic due to this, but I hope I can work around it.
I will instead attempt to provide other artwork related and post it to the usual venues (Reddit and Twitter.)

This is understandable. Worst case though (i.e. you need to wait several weeks to watch what happens and maybe do some story rewrites), you can take the "omake" route and make some non-continuity strips, like some random shenanigans, or possibly involving one of the other chibis. You just need to label the strip as such. If it's about the others, you could even name the strip "Cleve^2" or "Bel^2" to let everyone know. This way you can maintain your creative edge and readership while not affecting the main story.

2020-05-26 16:14:23 +0000 UTCA few weeks is a worst case scenario. Right now I'm hearing that Little Illustrious is going to be the extent of it, but I'm gonna wait a few days to make sure. If they announce more characters given this treatment (for instance Little Enterprise, Little Spence, or God forbid, Li'l Roon) then I think that will be a pretty good indication there will be an event carrying them, which I will want to know the details of. If this was three weeks ago, I wouldn't be worried at all but my current storyline could run contrary to this hypothetical event and I want to avoid that.
