Production is underway so let's get this cat out of the bag: The Untitled Onara RPG.
You know it. You've probably played it once. WELL...prepare for a blast to the past because I'm taking the first half of its' (oddly warm, by the way) body and performing dark rites to bend it to the will of a new master, MUHAHAHAHA! This decision is 1 part personal and 2 parts functional because A: Gashews game was a big inspiration to past Tapp so it's my way of paying tribute and B: I really, really don't want to spend another 2 years slamming my head against a brick wall. You will not believe how much cleanup and reworking I've done to this file to make it more workable...
It has been an experience revisiting this classic nearly a decade later as a creator! With some heavy re-contextualization, re-tooled encounters, fresh dialogue, a new ending or two, and a few familiar faces I hope you'll enjoy what's to come! The ideas I've had and the opportunities for new things have set my brain on fire! Granted, getting new, exciting scenarios and ideas vs. fully realizing those ideas are two different worlds. We cross those bridges when we reach them.
This won't take as long as SBD, I guarantee that. Being a one Tapp army in writing, scripting, encounter, and map design has it's limits, even with the occasional volunteer! Plus I have a new challenge! The last four games had one player character against 1-3 enemies, now I'm in the process of building party dynamics! So that means more math and balancing...oh well! It is what it is! You never got anywhere by worrying about the length of the trip!
