Ofcourse, when I do a swamp thing I have gotten comments on regular media that he doesn't look like the swampthing from the movies. Not the one from yesteryear or the more recent one, which I haven't seen in action yet (Might only be on Disney or Prime, which I don't have a subscription for :D)
I don't paint vampires like Count Dracula either. I give it my own spin. To try and get a different creature or a more menacing one. I have done monsters like the ones we got to know and sometimes love, but only for commissions. Otherwise I really don't see the point. I rather create something new. Even though it may be based on something we seen before.
Maybe I would if enough Patrons requested one, but Patrons seem to be pretty diverse in preferences, so I doubt it will come to that.
