Texas Tornado!

Boy, was Texas a whirlwind or what?! As soon as I got there I basically hit the ground running and I didn’t really stop until today. Kinda. Kinda didn’t really stop today either. 😅 But I’m so glad to be home and catching up on things. 🤩

My first couple days (arrived June 5 after driving straight for 12 hours!) there gave me tons of animal time! My friend, Amanda, and her daughter and two of their fur babies:

After getting my hair did Tuesday, I shot with my friend Alan Stephens on Wednesday. Here are a few of the edits so far! 🤩 Two of these will be full photosets here. :)

Friday we went out and did some tourist-y things to get content for Visit Amarillo, who hired JD and me to come out for the Route 66 Festival.

We went out to Jericho, TX , an old abandoned town that my cousin and her husband are reviving. He has family ties to the town. ❤️

Then we hit Groom and the gigantic cross:

And of course we did The Big Texan! (Amarillo, TX)

And both Cadillac Ranch (Amarillo, TX)

And Bug Ranch! (Conway, TX)

Needless to say, we were wiped after all this.

Oh yeah, and we were on the news that morning!

Saturday I hosted the pinup pageant and had my pop-up at the festival, and JD judged the car show.

Everything went wonderfully with hosting and I’m hoping to be back next year to do it again! For it being their first year putting on the Route 66 Festival, I was very impressed.

I stayed Sunday to see loved ones again, then it was off to Abq to be a hair model for a haircut and have a shoot with my friend, Peter Gonzales.

I drove home this past Tuesday (8 hours from Abq) and am catching up on stuff now.

I also put in my notice of quitting Celebrity IOU yesterday so I can go full time with mostly modeling and some freelance makeup work and I’m really excited about it! Of course, closing any chapter of life is bittersweet, but I am truly excited for the future! 🤩
