On this episode, the group discusses privilege. Specifically, privilege that Black cishet men hold in the Black community, debunking the idea that Black cishet men have no privilege. Each cast member speaks from personal experience - as someone occupying multiple marginalized identities and/or as someone who is responsible for taking advantage of or being complicit in their privilege.
Each episode of Discourse will conclude with cast members discussing tangible things they, and people watching, can do to shift the culture and conservation around the topic being explored. In this episode, nearly every member speaks on how they are, and will be more, invested in dismantling privilege and calling folks in when power has been abused.
