One benefit of staying at the office while we're in Vegas this week is that I can float from home to work in the comfort of my birthday suit. I finally got home from a long day of errands and decided enough was enough. The clothes had to go.

You can all thank JD for this shot.  :D  >>> patreon.com/mrjdscott

This week has been insane to say the least. The day we got back to Vegas I jumped right into the pageant makeovers and dealt with quite a few schedule changes each day so it was difficult to plan anything. Tomorrow I start  on makeup for the  Scripps Halloween special which JD is hosting. This will be a crossover between all their networks - Travel Channel, Food Network, HGTV, GAC... and a couple others. Sunday will be the last day for filming this special and I'm assuming it will probably be a long one. Monday is my last day to catch up on things here in Vegas then we're back off to NOLA on Tuesday morning.

Today was my only day off so I planned out my appointments for a facial, mani + pedi, and hair treatment. New Orleans has not been kind to my skin and my acne is worse than it's been in a very long time. Hopefully this facial will help clear things up. @.@

Aside from the small appointments today, I had to also squeeze in getting my car back to my friend's shop. I took it in last night and he replaced a part which seemed to fix the check engine light and all that jazz. This morning I took it to get the smog test and on the way there the light came back on. I took it back to him this afternoon, he fiddled around with it some more and did some more tests and it looked like it was clear. Low and behold, I take it for the smog test and it fails. Aaaaand I still had to pay for the test of course. Ugh. This car has been a true test in patience. Fortunately, my friend has someone coming to fix it on Monday so we should be good. Fingers crossed!

All in all, things have been pretty great. I can't express enough how grateful I am to be working with JD in NOLA. It's not often that couples get the opportunity to work together, and even less that they enjoy working together. I find makeup artistry incredibly rewarding in itself, so combining that with being with my partner and working with an amazing team is priceless. I have truly felt accomplished and productive at the end of each day. And it doesn't hurt that I love his family and we're getting to spend tons of time with them as well. :)

Okay, okay. Enough with the mushy stuff!

We have some real talk to get to.

I currently am toying with the idea of shooting a 2017 calendar. I have shot one for the last 2 years, but had decided not to do one this year because of the cost and time it takes to do it. Last year I ended up spending around $2000 in location fees, photographer costs, and the calendar order itself and they didn't sell as quickly as I would have liked them to. However, I haven't had a lot of time to shoot recently, and I'm missing it. I felt like putting together a calendar would give me reason to shoot and satisfy my craving. Another idea is that I could simply make a calendar with shots I've already released (mostly just here). Usually I like to put in all brand new content, but that is where the cost adds up quickly. So what are your thoughts? Do you think a calendar would do just as well if not everything was shot exclusively for it? Or do you think I should try to do all exclusive, new content for it and use a photographer who will be willing to shoot it for less or free?

Lemme know your thoughts!

I actually just talked with a friend who said he would shoot it for free and come to Vegas to shoot it, sooooo that might happen. ;)

It would seem so! ;)

I would use stuff you already have plus maybe a couple new ones. You can always have JD take the pics for you. Or if someone would do it for free too. It is expensive to do them, You have a lot of amazing pictures that you have sahred with us on here. :)

JD's have a way with the camera
