Excited to share with you the gallery set of my most recent shoot. Not only was this the christening shoot of our new home here in Portland, it was also my first time photographing real life lovers together. May it all be the first of many, of many. My fan base is really familiar with my female portraits, I am not even sure how people will receive the type of portraits I want to capture with lovers. Regardless, I am excited to explore it all.
Shooting with blades is not something I am even that interested in, to be honest. I had this kukuri/machete custom made for me by a tool maker named Joe in Oregon (@cedarworlf_creations on IG) and he gave me a solid discount in exchange for some photos. Ninja, the man in this shoot, knows Joe and reached out to me. I wasn't planning on shooting a male for this originally, but Joe actually requested that I keep the shoot tame so that he can actually use the photos for his business page. So I was like, perfect why not shoot a male finally?
So there's a little background that you would never know if you just looked at these photos, haha. This woman, Emmily, simply showed up at the end of the shoot to pick up Ninja and I was like.... "you wanna jump in there?" Easily my favorite photos of the day.
Thanks for reading and thank you for being here.
Much love,
XOXO
