Because it's the "Lifespan" which, generally speaking, is about the average time a human or animal lifes. And not about what time they have left. Otherwise I would guess they would've said that someone gave half of his remaining life. When it comes to the ability to see into the future, there isn't really more information then what you got in this episode. So as far as we know, it's just a glimps into the future you get. I guess more wouldn't make much sense, since it would be to broken otherwise I guess. If you think back, you make a contract with a Devil and you just get a small fraction of the Power of a Devil. Like the Fox Devil, Aki could summon the Head, but not the whole Fox, the reaon he can summon the Head is because the Fox Devil likes good looking people. Others can just summon like the Paw, but not the head, like they explained it when they had the drinking session. And what you have to think about, it's not like the Future Devil gave Aki less of his power than the others 2. I guess he gave Aki the same amount of his power, but for the cost of "let me live in your right eye" while the others had to give way more. Which was why Aki was surprised and why the Future Devil said "That look is asking, "Is that really all?". And here comes the important part. These Devils make contracts with Devil Hunter, but not all of them are friendly towards Humans, so you have to assume that some or most them just want bad stuff to happen to Humans or even the worst stuff to happen to them. Which makes more sense and is way more obvious with what the Future Devil says in the Manga, because he doesn't say that Aki's Death "fucking rules" he says "You are going to die in the worst way in the future!"
