Fun Fact, in the Manga she lost 4 Finger Nails and not just 1. I guess you can shot the Heart, but not slice it in half might be a bit to much. Thats why I would guess that shooting the heart is fine. Another Fun Fact, the whole scene with the Bus, Makima dressing up and the Convicts arriving at the Temple stairs is not in the Manga. I goes, Makima asks for a new pair of cloths and then goes straight into the scene where they want to get Denji into the Car. They don't show Aki in the Mange besides him being in shock and kneeling there. I guess they didn't cared for Aki since they just want to get Denji for his heart.
