A wise man once said: "in the morning you'll be running back to me."
This morning I'm running back to you, my most loyal and patient supporters, with an update on my newest project, along with a couple scrapped tracks from earlier this year.
Like a vulture, I'll start with the scraps. These are two songs that were meant to appear on an "ANDRE WEST" project, which imagined Andre 3000 rapping over ten original songs, each song imitating the production style of one Kanye album. I'll let you speculate which Ye albums these two songs were emulating:

Then, to my surprise, VULTURES actually dropped. And for the first time since 2018 we had a Kanye album that featured more hits than misses (and I liked JIK a lot). Ye continues to participate in a weird competition with Elon Musk to be as divorced as possible on the biggest platform possible. But his ear for samples and guest verses is still incredible.
About a year ago I wrote about taking a break from engaging with Ye's antics because the music being produced just wasn't justifying the mess anymore. His new music still doesn't justify anything he's saying or doing-but it never could. Ye's supervillain marketing moves will hang over his music for as long as he stays a supervillain billionaire.
Ye goes on the Tucker Carlson show. It's so over. Ye recruits JPEGMAFIA to remix a Backstreet Boys song. We are so back. The snake eats its tail, the vultures eat the snake, etc.
In other words: I'm ready to go back to the desert. VULTURES 2049 is coming. I've been spending a lot of time in the Ye Tracker, which inspired a lot of the production choices on this one. Super excited to share more soon.
Thanks, as always, for sticking with me. Much love!
