The peaceful and brisk morning air, the rumble of a diesel engine, the feel of rubber pressed against the grit of asphalt, the soft glow of your headlig- … wait… headlights?

Oh dear.

… I’m… I’m gonna be late!

A vehicle tf I have long wanted to do, attempted several times, and which I feel my abilities can finally achieve haha. Imagine starting to slowly transform into a school bus with the first light of dawn, changing more as the sun rises until you’re ready to go right when you’re needed~

Also wanting to develop a new background style… and Eventide suggested I try making backgrounds in the style of The Amazing World of Gumball.

Which is surprisingly working!!

Studied it a lot and it really seems to come down to idyllic suburban settings with lighting pushed into a slightly unnatural way, and to which extensive editing has been done to make the image feel like it’s on a multi-plane camera and to erase just enough of the imperfections to give it a surreal dream-like vibe with the mixed media look. I am VERY much enjoying this.

Was going to use my own neighborhood but then thought against it, until I’m a bit better at the editing. Don’t need to dox myself lmao.

Getting warmed back up after a little while of not a whole lot of art, rearing to go now. Should be a productive week. <3
