Euphoria Pt. 4 - Scrapbook

Euphoria Pt. 3 - Pilot

So in the last installment I redrew the old cast page. In this one I redrew the pilot. I like to reinject the first comic every so often as a type of progress report for you and myself. Hence the 10,000 hours remark. This series of strips has a very overt meta narrative. I will discuss this later.

Family Tree Breakdown

First thing to note in the Coat of Arms, which also repeats in the sister line up, is Ellie is facing the wrong way. She feels she's constantly going in the wrong direction as opposed to her sisters who seemingly are making progress in their lives.

758 Euphoria Pt. 2 - Family Tree

The family tree was something I worked on for some time. Just names and placeholders for concepts on a Google spreadsheet, over the course of several years. I was originally going to leave them in flat colors, but I decided to spend another 5 days shading all 74 characters (you should know by now I'm insane.) The entire tree, including profile/silhouettes, has 87 member total. I wanted to mimic either Don Rosa's Duck Family Tree or Norman Rockwell's 1959 'Family Tree.' I chose the latter, wit...

758 - Euphoria Pt. 1

Annnd we're back.

This is around 1/5th or 1/6th of the entire Euphoria comic. Something like 65 panels (and growing since the ending keeps getting tweaked.) Glad I ultimately split it since these 19 panels took ages on their own.

Now I know this is part of, what was, the main site comic...which was free...but I decided to keep it behind a paywall for now. I'd at least like some small deterrent against just anyone stumbling in. Claire and I do have plans to move the comic elsewhere...

Small Update

There are certain situations that call for less words, not more. This is one of those times. I've received many concerned messages and I wanted to let you know we are both safe, and the kids are all doing fine.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of things I can't discuss yet about what happened this week, as we are still looking into it. When the time comes, and I can start talking about it, I will let you know absolutely everything.

Greetings from Florida

This is one panel from the next main site comic, which I said in the last $10 update is hovering somewhere around 60+ panels.

It contains a long conversation I'd rather not break apart, and many of the panels are like this. Because of that I can't 'assembly line' the whole process (draw+flat+shade) like normal. I'm having to back into it and finalize each segment by itself to see how it all fits, then continue on.

Sketch Dump 4 - NSFW

Thanks as always for the patience. New baby has been pretty colicky and insomniatic, on top of a very active one-year old who thinks my Wacom Tablet pen belongs flushed down the toilet. Fatigue has gotten the better of us the last several weeks. Hopefully this settles down within the coming months as someone learns to sooth herself to sleep (Sleep? Wassat?)

Also plenty of rejected 200% tank top drawings... which somehow turned into a non-canon 'pregnancy boobs' series thanks to Juniper. I'm still putting the next two Sketch Dumps together, so she may show up again depending on how many canvas gaps I need her to fill. lol

I've compiled 4 pages of sketches of art I've done but never published. Some are pin up ideas I never used, panels and faces that never made it in the comic, or just me trying to practice (skyfall portion: hair and feet.)
