Since this is BV season 3, you've watched BV season 2 in Hawaii - remember their ATV adventure at Kualoa Ranch? A tourist on the transport going the other way screamed 'OMG that's BTS'. And when Hobi/Jin were on the bus going towards their AirBNB in Hawaii Kai, one of the locals recognized them as members from BTS, but he was very lowkey cool and just said Hi. Their being recognized in BV season 1 (the first usage of "important business-eu") by the general population on the streets, not once, but twice, was rather nice. BigHit will have to think outside the box post-COVID for future BV trips once we all get inoculated (soon, please!).

I see! We will see it later on when DT gets to that episode but I asked because there's a scene in Bon Voyage where Suga is in the car travelling to one of their activity destinations when he gets a message on his phone that prompts his decision to go home. They showed the director and staff asking him for his decision whether to go home or not because he could not participate in the scuba diving if he decides to fly back, and they showed Jin telling Suga that it was an important matter and that he should go home. Well I have no proof about suga's reason for going home earlier than I read it somewhere at the time because I was interrested in his matter. I don't remember he got a phonecall, so I think it was planned beforehand with the ticket. In what I read, it was mentioned, that he had an incident with a sasaeng earlier that year in an airport, and there was picture from it. So it is not a fact , but I am glad you asked!

About the matter of taehyung! The only way army knew, that he couldn't go with the other is because the news about his grandfathers dead and funeral was in the korean newsmedia before bon vouage was aired. And is was only mentioned in bon vouage as a "unaveilable personal issue". Suga's reason for going home before the rest wasn's because of dead in his familie, but because of his anxioty of crowds in the airport, when all of them comes home together.

Most people on here are just giving constructive criticisms. They’re not that rude. Giving feedbacks is the point of having an audience. You can’t tell people to just watch and shut up. If a youtuber cannot deal with constructive comments, then he shouldn’t start In the first place. But DT handles them very well and maturely. That’s the point!

I mean they showed V packing for the trip like everyone else and they never explained exactly why he wasn't with them except it was for personal reasons. so excited for this season of bon voyage, it’s one of my favorites! also i know these are longer videos and the captions go very quickly but pause when you need to! it’s better to pause and read stuff that you might have missed so that you won’t be confused later on! :)

That’s why I suggested that he could pause and replay some parts since we don’t speak Korean. I’ve watched Kdramas for years now but I still pause and go back every so often because even though I can read subs fast I still miss some reactions and nuances since I don’t speak the language and there’s nothing wrong with that. Since DT has only been watching Korean contents for a few months,all the more that he should pause and replay otherwise he would be lost. 💜💜💜

DT you’re the 2nd reactor I’ve seen who did NOT NOTICE at first that V was not in this first episode and this makes me sad. I mean maybe it’s just me but I count them when they’re out just to make sure all of them are there. But also 7 minutes into this episode they said V is not there for personal matter,because of an inevitable issue. Now if you’ve seen that one you would’ve been curious by that part because they’ve shown him getting his things ready then all of a sudden he’s not coming. Anyway sometimes you ask questions which I feel is redundant because it’s already explained in the captions/subtitles like when they were renting the cars. I mean if they’re not driving why would they rent cars right? hehehe..maybe for their staff? but Jin and Jk were even writing on the paper so it could mean they were signing some forms . Hangul is not our language so I cannot stress how important it is to read subtitles. We understand if you pause and replay parts that way you don’t miss anything. Just a suggestion to make viewing experience much more enjoyable. Anyway thanks for the reaction!

yeah i agree. love his reactions but they explain things and he asks abut what they’re doing or what happened a few secs/mins later. the captions may go by fast but we don’t mind pausing a lot or going back a lot.

If you find their flight arrangements upgraded, wait til you get to season 4.. they’ll be impressed further.. also I personally think it’s best if they take first class or a private jet as their security is of utmost importance when it comes to safe travel away from the obsessed fans. ARMY would want the boys to have an almost normal live enjoying their travels and for that to happen, they need to travel with as much privacy and security as possible.. we would sleep better knowing the boys travel safe. Also, DT.. as mentioned by others above, you have to read the captions. Both V’s absence and the boys option to be able to drive was mentioned way in the beginning.. take your time to pause and read them cos they would help to answer all your queries.. I was actually waiting for you to point out how come there’s only six of them at the carpark before they took the car... anyway, do pause when you need to yeah?

Do take note that this season is bitter-sweet as not all 7 are present at the same time. Taehyung's grandfather passed away, and Yoongi had some sudden personal issues as well. Some say it's a death in his family, but I am not sure as it is private.

Sadly, V’s grandfather died right before they were set to go to Malta. He stayed behind for the funeral and to be with his family. That’s why he’s not there at the start of this season.

For celebrities, there are two main types of schedules: public schedules and private schedules. Bon Voyage is a private schedule not announced to the public so no fan should know about their trip unless they are some stalkers. Also this is 2018, when BTS was already SO SO popular, and because they are popular, they have money. So there is no way they have to fly ecomomy class. It’s either business class or their private plane :)

Well, they were already extremely famous during this season. There’re always people who recognized them when they were filming bon voyage. Season 4 was in 2019 and they were already worldwide super stars. People recognize them. But they just don’t show that on the show often. There are sasaeng (over-obsessive crazy) fans who figured out the boys’ flights and followed them (don’t even call them ARMY cuz they’re not and they hurt the boys mentally). Fans are not supposed to know when and where the boys going for bon voyage until Big Hit officially releases the show. Regardlessly, it’s still possible to film bon voyage lol 😂 not everyone would know them or go crazy after spotting them on the streets. Yes, they may recognize them and get surprised, but most people respect them and let they do their business lol. Like J-Hope always says: “important businesseuu” kkkk (his accent is so funny and cute lmao 😆)

it’s said that taehyung’s grandfather passed away so that’s why he didn’t leave with the other boys. he’ll be joining them in episode 3 or 4 i believe. i cant remember which one exactly & when he gets there, there are a few emotional moments. you’ll also notice how jimin is with him most of the time & really doesn’t leave his side. they really are the best of friends.

This is why it’s so important to pay attention to what they’re saying. You missed the moment they announced Tae’s absence. According to many sources, his personal matter was a member of his family passing away, so you can expect some emotional moments from the next episodes.
