Yes I do actually. Which is why I’m starting the Bring the Soul series next week. I just mentioned that in my latest post.

Originally, kpop hasn't been very known for this level of openness between idols and fans, BTS have been doing this since the beginning as coming from a small company they did not have many resources or things like invitations to big variety shows in order to get known, so a strong bond and connection to the fans was really all they had and it was precious to them and they kept it up all these years. It really proved why closeness and a connection was so important so newer groups now especially do also try to focus on this a lot

You need to understand that they weren't invite to alot of interviews and TV shows at beginning. That's another reason why they do their own variety shows like Rookie King or Run BTS and do their own interviews.

BTS document themselves since beginning. Other upcoming groups started to do the same. Some older groups does some logging but not as in depth as BTS and consistently.

I have been to many of BTS concerts. Not everyone there are BTS fans. They were there because of their girl/ boy friends, parents, husbands/wives. They weren't all happy to be there at beginning but you can tell their smiles after the concerts. The boys notice everything.

I agree with a lot of the comments saying Jin and J-Hope might have the biggest separations between their 'idol personas' and personal selves. Like RM mentioned in the latest (2020) festa, them choosing to appear consistently bright on camera, and have a positive influence that way, takes a lot of professionalism. Like J-hope said, fans expect that image and (unintentionally) pressure them by worrying/overreacting if they sometimes don't appear so outwardly happy.
The fact that you mentioned J-Hope has hardly ever been down that you've noticed is proof of that. They are camera conscious, and I don't think anyone just looking at 'J-Hope and Jin of BTS' can accurately gauge how often they have contrasting moods and thoughts without personally knowing them.
And yes, I also think V was being very truthful when he said he hardly differentiates his stage persona and personal self. That doesn't mean he shares absolutely everything - lots of people comment he can be 'mysterious' or 'withdrawn', especially in comparison to Jin and J-Hope. The difference is though he's still somewhat private without purposefully changing his natural behaviour for the viewers benefit.
All of them must have private lives to some extent and obviously think about the differences a lot. But even in situations like this where they open up a LOT, they are on camera and aware of it, and that's probably the only way most people will ever know them. It must be incredibly hard to remain careful of your image and not just let fame get to you at that level - they make very conscious efforts to keep portraying themselves in a mature and positive way and stay humble as both 'idols' and their true selves.
I'll also say that the idea of putting on a persona for the camera and for viewers benefits is probably the more common or even 'traditional' approach among k-pop idols. It's undeniably a big foundation of the k-pop industry that 'idols', as the name suggests, are in many ways usually trained and marketed to be literally idolised as performers and people, and character image is a big part of that. (An aside in case you didn't know, there's been a lot of stigma, especially in the past, about the 'music' of k-pop being overly produced and not having equal artistry to that of non-idol musicians who focus on the tune alone. These stereotypes are obviously not always the case going either way, and are changing, but they were true to some extent. For this reason idol culture was looked down on by some compared to other entertainment).
At the same time, I think it's interesting to consider that among many Western artists, musicians or celebrities, the idea of just being yourself on and of camera is the more standard ideal. However in these cases, it seems it can be easier for the fame of your work to go to your head and have a big influence on your personal character and behaviour.

To answer some of your questions
-Hermione is indeed the harry potter character.
- Jin is definitely one of the people who isn't the same as on cameras, he is very shy and gets flustered when attention is on him, yet he is the most outspoken and extra on camera, he stated once that as the oldest he takes it upon himself to break the ice so the other members feels at ease.. he really cares about them and do a lot to support them even at his own expense sometimes (till this day him kneeling when Tae fell on his knees so he won't feel embarrassed is one of the most selfless moments I saw).
- As for if Kim Taehyung is the same as V, I think it's true to some extent, Tae really don't censor himself he is out there in any situation and acts as he wants most of the time, since he has so many aspects and him being a free spirit we don't really know how to "classify" him, sometimes he is outspoken and loud sometimes he is shy and quiet... but what we do know is that he is HIMSELF all the time, he just acts how he feels at the current moment.
- as for your comment regarding JK, he is quite shy so they ask him directly to do things or to answer something for him to do it, otherwise he won't talk.
I really hope you get to react to "BTS introvert line" and " BTS extrovert line" to check out each members characters.
(It is based on their MBTI tests).

Both Jin and Hoseok have often spoken about purposefully portraying a cheerful character to the public and choosing to keep their personal self more private. Like RM said in the most recent Festa, that's very professional in many ways

Okay...here it goes. I had to organize my thoughts first.
I am living for these kind of videos BTS is posting every year. I love them sitting together and just talking about life. They open up so much and their actual personalities are shining through...I see it as a breather for them...as an outlet.
If you watch their Festa videos from previous years until now in order you can see how it got more and more honest and relaxed. I think when they first debuted they didn't know each other that well and they were pressing each other's buttons more.
In 2019 they were going full circle with the questions. They started with questions about their childhood. You could see it in their faces how much fun they had reminiscing. The questions changed to their debut...the mood got a little more serious and they started to reflect on things. Then they asked questions about the present and it got a little bit quieter bc it is actually hard to talk about oneself...the way they did. You could see it with Kookie...it was very hard for him to describe how he is different from Jungkook of BTS. I think it is especially difficult for him bc he grew up as Jungkook from BTS. Maybe it is really hard for him to tell these two apart.
I felt sad for Jin...he has that unique and distinct character as Jin of BTS and to hear that ppl are a bit disappointed that he isn't like that all the time when they meet him privately is a big slap in the face.
Namjoon said that he doesn't know what is in Jin's heart. Jimin said on 2018 Festa that when Jin has a hard time he is welcomed to talk to them. Jin is a very private person and I think he is a problem solver. He is able to get over things by himself but that can make ppl feel that he is keeping his distance. I think that maybe the gap between Jin of BTS and Seokjin is too big for some ppl.
It was heartwarming to hear them talk about their councilor. They have a steady person in their regular staff that keeps them sane and level-headed about things.
They are enjoying these talks...their bond gets deeper and deeper every year that is passing by. Like Tae said...BTS is a once in a lifetime chance...they all are making the most of it. Their bond and their handling when it comes to conflicts should be a positive example in every textbook. I am older than all of them but what I learned from every single one of them and from them as a group is amazing and I am so thankful that they caught my eye.
Oh and by the way to play Santa for kids is the most satisfying thing on earth...you cannot buy their big sparkling eyes and their excitement with money. It's a priceless view and feeling.
I am a kindergarten teacher and shortly before Christmas we always tell our kids that Santa will come a few days early bc we are closed on Christmas. So there will be special breakfast and stuff and when we are all sitting there singing Christmas songs one of us will enter the hallway with very loud steps and some tiny bells (the kids never saw one of us being Santa 😂) we are all keeping quiet and when we hear Santa going out we can see footsteps on the floor bc we scatter flour on the floor (they always think that Santa brings in some snow with his big boots). It really is heartwarming and hilarious. These moments always let me realize why I love my job so much.

I always think J-Hope Is the most secretive about his personal emotions and his real self. He doesn’t reveal his true feelings as much as other members and always strives to live up to his stage name j-hope. He must feel kinda pressured and recognize the responsibility of being called “hope”. Just like RM said, he’s the most stable member. I also think he doesn’t change much since debut

this is one of the best festas to learn more about the guys and especially about their childhood too as they don’t often talk about it. when i heard “JK from bts shines bright but Jeon Jungkook is insignificant” my heat shattered, i had to idea jk felt this way but apparently he feels like him off stage is inferior as the persona on stage as he also mentioned this on a demo for his unreleased song “decalcomania”.
btw i’m not sure what are your plans for what you’ll react next but i suggest you to do their docu-series, where you’ll learn more about each member individually as well. you already did “burn the stage”, after that it’s “bring the soul” and the latest one is “break the silence”

What you really should react to next is BTS persona (RM) mv and the explanation video for it by DKDKTV.
Like they talk about in this festa about personas, he talk a lot about the difference between RM and Kim namjoon in the song as well. I think you'll really like it.

It's interesting that you said yoongi should talk more when Namjoon said that he and yoongi talk the most and J hope listens. I think the members who are the most different from their bts personas are Jin and hobi without a doubt but all of them to a certain extent.

most groups don't do this + ones i used to stan would only talk like this when things got too much or during shows where they have to be more transparent and even then they would be vague. bts being like this is a blessing and a curse bc it becomes a breeding ground for antis and "armys" who blow things out of proportion and psychoanalyze the boys but bts truly want to let us in and deepen that bts army connection i love it so much.. esp these days they just pop up saying how much they miss us and miss performing they truly love their craft and armys

since no one has pointed out - Big Hit didn't give them any booze for this one. JK pointed it out, and spoiler for those that haven't watched this year's - no booze either. And yes, JK pointed that out also lol.... as for the biggest difference between their stage persona and personal? I think it's Jin, as he has pointed out here. The members always mentioned that Jin is the shyest which for a casual fan wouldn't add up to what he is perceived as.

I feel that way about Hoseok too. He's very private about his feelings. I think he's opened up more recently but he's always struck me as someone who will only let us in so far. Which is totally their right and doesn't take away from their sincerity at all. :)

Even if other kpop groups do the same type of videos as these, i don’t think you will find anyone as sincere as these guys💜 like seriously , its as if theres no camera as they said. They love to connect with you in a way deeper level and they tell stories that are relatable through their lyrics💜 they are one of a kind believe me💜

I actually think they all may be a bit different from what we're shown but that Jin and Taehyung have always had an almost mysterious vibe where you might think you know them but when you look closely, they haven't shared anything beyond surface level.
