Bon Voyage Season 2 - Episode 8 (Goodbye Hawaii!)

No matter how many times I watch this BV season I still get emotional to this episode..And I agree to you DT, they need this to strengthen their relationship as friends and as a member of BTS. This is my 2nd most favorite season of BV. Thanks for sharing DT.🥰😘💜

Something I noticed is that although Jimin likes to hear he’s handsome etc... he gets embarrassed with lots of deep, personal praise. He seems more comfortable being a giver and doesn’t need a thank you.

I learned a lot from the relationship between Tae and Jimin at the end of this episode. Especially at the end when Jimin says: "If you do not tell the other how you feel or if you never thank them they will never know." That pierce me right through. I am a person who cannot say thank you or I love you seriously but that does not mean I do not feel them, is just hard. So after this episode years ago I tried to say Sorry , Thank you more. I still need work with my words even if I have an A at writing I suck.. what a Joke I am.

despite being the hidden member, tae has grown & his popularity is unbelievable. many people say how his uniqueness in his voice, dancing, expressions, & personality is what draws so many people to him. in festa 2019 you’ll see rm talk about how taehyung is the one who draws people to bts & i have to say from experience that’s true, at least me for. tae’s fancams are always the most viewed & trainees along with rookies talk about how they look up to him & wanna perform like him. kmedia even gave him the nickname idol of idols. despite everything tae has been through since debut, he has only grown & will continue to grow. sidenote: he broke psy’s 8 year old record on itunes with the most #1s for an asain soloist. he currently has 90 with sweet night.

It's even funnier that Jin is only 3 months older than Yoongi, but just because they were born in different years, Yoongi uses honorifics when addressing Jin and recognizes him as hyung. As the two oldest, I love their relationship -- there are many times where Jin will say, "If Yoongi was here, he'll support me." I truly believe that they are best friends and are really close.

In Korea the term “friend” is reserved for people born in the same year. That doesn’t mean you can’t be close with someone older, but it just means you wouldn’t call them “friend.” You would refer to them as older brother or older sister. The funny thing is Jin and Suga are only 3 months apart but Suga calls Jin “hyung” because of their birth years. (1992, 1993) But RM and J-Hope are considered “friends” even though they’re 7 months apart because they are both born in 1994. Also something I find cool about bts is they still use honorifics with each other. A formal way of speech towards someone older than you. Usually if you’re close enough with someone older than you and they give you permission, you can drop honorifics and speak comfortably/informally. But BTS usually maintains honorifics. I think that shows how much they respect each other even though they’re so close. 😊

V was originally a hidden member of the group, meaning the fans didnt know him until they debuted. BTS posted a lot of vlogs and tweets before debut and it was only the 6 members, V was always hidden behind the camera and wasnt allowed to tweet anything. So when they debuted and there was a new member, fans back then didnt like him cause they already got to know the boys so V was just this random guy. I remember old clips from fan meets and some 'fans' skipped over V and ignored him (Jin often tried to console V and make him smile during the fan meets) so for a little while, V was quite insecure and it makes sense he was nervous to debut....but now he's one of the most popular members -- even a very popular idol and well loved by other groups. Trainees watch his fancams to learn stage charisma :)

Regarding what RM said about V, RM said that many fans were attracted to bts when they first debuted because of V , he is extremely popular and one of the most popular memebers of BTS . What RM meant was that he wasn’t sure why V was that popular or why he stood out and that’s because The younger V was very outgoing and very chaotic and you saw in the award show video that V was very active and they often said that he has a unique and weird character that no one like him has. Basically he was werid and very strange and people loved that , but i guess no one expected that. But RM then said that as time passed he got to know V more and understand his personality more and realized why people love him so much , RM said that V befriends everyone so fast and that he was envious of that. (Basically V is known to be a social butterfly , he is basically friends with all the kpop industry and has many many idol friends and even actor friends(male and female)💜 and in another video RM thanked V for introducing so many fans to BTS because he caught their attention 💜

funny how they talked about producing the whole album themselves and deciding everything from the mv director and the album cover and that's exactly what their upcoming album will be (this coming October), can't wait to see it happen , it will be a first in Kpop history I guess. dreams do come true, actually everything they said here happened lol , billboard 100 and 200 and social 50 awards all happened , and even they won many grand prizes as they wanted, they really achieved everything.

Are you sure? Maybe it's your screen software that isn't right...? Some reactors do screen record from Vlive (and Weverse) without any problem... I don't know how they do it though, to be honest, but they have accounts on Vlive and Weverse and screen record the video from these websites. Maybe you should ask them? Because it'll a lot easier for you if you could watch the next Bon Voyage seasons on these websites (no need to look for every single episode, great quality, no ads...)

vmin’s letter to each other makes me tear up everytime no joke.. also jungkooks letter to namjoon, he was almost crying when he read the last words of his letter . i also love jinkooks friendship, they are indeed tom & jerry, they like to tease each other all the time but they love each other a lot, it’s crazy how they’re like 5 years apart but behave like they’re the same age!! in korea being older is a big thing so if jin wasn’t such a chill & fun person, their relationship could be kinda awkward but it’s not! anyway, i’m excited for season 3, it’s one of my favorite ones it’s just sad that suga and tae couldn’t be there for some days :( but it’s still very fun to watch, they do a lot of cool activities & the place they were is so beautiful

There is one more information that I think it’s better if you know ahead of time cuz you will ask us anyway. Suga will leave early in season 3 due to personal matter. I don’t think Big Hit officially told us what the reason was because Suga chose to keep it private. But people said that a relative passed away and his parents wanted him home. I know this season was kinda sad because it feels incomplete. However, it’s still a really good season. The boys got to experience many cool things and it was very memorable too.

There’s one thing you need to know. In season 3, Tae couldn’t join them in the beginning because his grandpa passed away on July 31, 2018 when they were about to start the trip. Just keep that in mind when you see him sad or crying in the episodes. Poor Tae, he lost both his grandma and grandpa since debut. He has a special relationship with his grandparents because he grew up on a farm as a countryside kid and they raised him for 14 years. His grandma passed away on Sept 3rd, 2016. Her funeral was the same day BTS won their first award for Blood Sweat and Tears. Tae heard about the news when he was on tour in Philippines, so he couldn’t see her for the last time. That was his biggest regret. During concert, he opened up to ARMYs, saying that his grandma’s wish was to see him on TV. Unfortunately, the timing was very wrong. She didn’t get to see him on TV. Tae said that their first win at the music show was on the 49th day since his grandma passed away. He hoped ARMYs would keep his precious grandma in our heart. Tae is a type of person who values his family the most, more than anything else. You will notice that if you pay close attention. Anyway, can’t wait for the next seasons. All are good but I like season 2 and 4 the most. You will see how grown up they are throughout each season! ^^

For me season 2 was a lot better than season 1. I liked season 1 and thought it was good, but not as good as season 2. I think it was because they did a lot more interesting things. They did quite a lot in 1 week. Also the end with the letters was so great and touching to see. season 2 is going to be to top.

So, there's some interesting things to notice here regarding korean culture that may be hard for us to understand. Korean society is heavily based on hierarchy and age is a huge part of that. When Suga mentioned that he was envious of Jimin and V and also RM and J Hope friendship, it's not because him himself isn't friends with them. But people of the same age don't need to use honorifics to adress each other and can call each other by their names. You might have noticed that the boys refer to an older member as "hyung" ( a korean word used by male friends to adress an older close friend). That's why Jimin jokingly said that when they reach their 50's he will drop the honorifics. Jimin and V, being born in the same year, don't need to use honorifics to talk to each other. I don't know if I was able to explain, maybe a korean patron can correct me if I'm wrong.
