2020-06-01 10:05:40 +0000 UTCas someone from hawaii, you’re right, the cockroaches are big, but at least the geckos are harmless!! they just hang out on your walls and ceilings. some cockroaches, especially the big ones, fly. worst shit ever. also! if you ever come back to hawaii, it’s actually bad luck to take volcanic rock back home with you haha. it has to do with hawaiian mythology. the goddess of lava, pele, will be very very upset if you take her volcanic rock, it’s referred to as pele’s curse, so you can take that at your own discretion!

They have the money but chooses to do things that normal people would do. I love this concept. It also teaches them to be humble and get to know each other more as they spend time with each other. They are incredible people and they are so down to earth
