Your right Niku means meat but niku was written with Kanji 「肉」in Manga that meant definitely meat. If there was possibility for Niccolo, that should've been written with Hiragana or Katakata 「にく」「ニク」these could be nickname... also meat is the symbol of freedom for her. I do understand Sasha and Niccolo's romance possibility but in Japanese script, that's theory is too difficult to think of.

Apparently, to put a different spin on Sasha's last words... the Kanji for "meat" is "Niku".... so: "Is the food ready yet.....Niku" is a deep cut if that was Sasha's nickname for Niccolo.
