Sweltering Thirst

I've had this sitting in my "to be painted" pile of sketches for ages and ages, figured it should be shared though haha. So here it is cleaned up a bit. I always love this arrangement for plant tf, upside down just makes so much sense- you're grabbing the earth to hold onto it and slurping the moisture upward!
I picture it maybe taking a full day, wandering parched and exhausted until you feel compelled to grab at the soil and then... you can't pull away. Slowly getting stiffer and more and more stuck, hindquarters lifting to the sky, and yet, through the hours you just get more comfortable. Maybe it's not so dry and awful out here after all <3
