Position Change Method

What is the Position Change Method?

The Position Change Method is a very beginner method to make coins even very early in the game.

The idea behind this method is to make coins on position-changed cards on the FUT market. Due to a changed position, these cards gain a bit more value but they still get listed at the normal prices. Ideally, you buy them at a low or average price and sell them for profit.

Examples

As FIFA 23 is not released yet, I will use made-up numbers and simplify things.

Let's take Bernardo Silva as our example. His normal position is CAM however he has a secondary position as RW.

If this Bernardo Silva CAM costs 10k and Bernardo Silva RW costs 13k then we have a 3k difference.

In this case, you would aim to get Bernardo Silva RW for around 10k. As mentioned above, people usually don’t know these small price differences and they list the card for the cheapest possible price. That allows us to buy it for cheap and sell it for more later.

Applying the EA taxes on our sale -> 13k x 0.95 – 10k = 2.35k Coins Profit or in other words its roughly 18% profit.

Repeating and grinding this method for a few days can generate some strong coins for your early trading journey. It's one of my favorite methods to just grind and generate some profits while waiting for the market to show some movement.

Finding the right cards

This method usually works with every card that has a position change in the game. There will be good and bad cards but in general, it works with every position change as long as there are profit margins.

Checking the margins every day is very key for this method. The market changes fast and this method can get outdated if the market shows a strong downtrend or too much supply.

We will also provide a list of cards for this method. It's getting updated almost weekly but still, make sure to double-check your cards before following the list.

Special Cases

Advanced SBC Cards

Some cards are not gameplay related and offer more value with the position change because of the Advanced SBCs. Finding these cards is a bit trickier because of the fast-changing market and daily new solutions for the same SBCs.

If you find a profitable card based on the Advanced SBCs then I recommend grinding that as long as you can as these usually stop working earlier than other cards.

Applying additional methods

This method also allows you to add additional methods. You can lazy list or overnight list your cards or even use methods in later guides to boost your sales.

Depending on the market, we will even give some recommendations when we aim to sell some of these cards. Usually, we don't recommend holding most of them through 6 pm as content can still hurt your position changed cards.

Early Stages of the Game

A super method for the early stages of the game. The deals are usually a bit less but you can make bigger coins by being consistent on the market and cycling through different playable cards. Probably one of the Top 3 methods to get from 5k-20k to the first 100ks.

Later Stages of the Game

As explained a bit above, it's recommended to move over to more Special cards. Gold Cards get supplied the whole year and lose value as the year continues.

There will be cases that probably still work, the best tip here is to compare the prices and check each again!
