Fun fact my family has been getting chicken soup tattooed on us (on purpose) in different languages. It's a running gag that my sister doesn't have strength and courage on her side and there's the added bonus of going into a restaurant and tapping your arm to order that 🤣

My partner is really into Moomin so I figured she'd like to play (she preferred just watching me play) and my thoughts are identical to Chris'. What I played is super simple but it's also so charming with great visuals and music! I'd say it's at very least worth the demo if it sounds interesting!

2024-04-16 01:22:20 +0000 UTCRe: Balatro discussion and it probably inspiring similar games, just wanted to say that the creator LocalThunk, in an AMA I think where he was asked if Slay the Spire inspired him, said that Luck be a Landlord was his biggest influence for making this game. Based on that comment I tried the demo and can say that while I see the similarities, especially on a meta game level, it’s a great example of good games inspiring very different-seeming offshoots. With any luck, we’ll get a totally different genre-defining title by someone just falling in love with this guy right now.

Small correction: INDIKA's coming out in May, not June, at least according to the Steam and PSN listings. Stoked for it! Edit: I am a Snufkin enjoyer. Moomin was a huge part of my childhood. It's (Swedish-speaking) Finnish in origin, but the popular animation was made in Japan, where it also thrives. Snufkin is just the sweetest anarchist.
