I don't think all the people picking spyro would be able to care for a dragon and provide it enough enrichment. Same with mario. Do you know how expensive good meatballs are, and how much effort it takes to feed an Italian plumber every day? Not to mention the enclosure you keep him in has to be massive and full of pipes and other enrichment like mushrooms. It's just not ethical. Marios need to remain in the wild where they belong. I think the majority of mario owners saw them as a get rich quick scheme because of their amazing ability to find gold coins, but unless you have a lot of gold coins around your property, it's not going to help much. They don't conjure the coins from nowhere after all 🙄 And don't get me started on Luigis. The amount of people who get Luigis just because they think they'd be a cute addition to their haunted house is sickening.
