Added 2020-08-10 08:36:43 +0000 UTCWhat else is there to do on days as hot as this? Of course one can sit (in a responsible distanceof course) and just watch the scenery. But getting into the water might be more effective to cool down.
I believe I posted the sketch for higher Tiers much earlier (when it was still freezing cold) because I wanted to paint this perspective for a change.
I don't know if you've noticed but I like to paint facial expression the most. Contrary to popular belief, that's what really interests me. But sometimes it's also nice to just paint something like this. One would think this is easier and quicker to paint, but not in this particular case. Took real time to get it right and I can't really tell why. Perhaps facial expressions keep me on edge more because they interest me the most? I'll think about that. Anyway, I love how it turned out eventually. So, it's all good π.
By the way; I get many requests to paint (nude) portraits by (mainly) women on the web that show off their bodies (every inch of it) but hide their faces. I don't really understand the appeal of that. I've seen shoots of women with absolutely perfect bodies but without any expression in their face. It does not work for me. At all.
I do nude and erotic art because it's our most primal and true state, not for the bodyparts. We all have those. Some just wear 'm better and manage to compliment them with their attitude, poise and facial expressions. That's what I'm looking for. In a model or in my imaginary ladies.

2020-08-11 05:02:08 +0000 UTCI have some similar problems when I'm doing 3D pictures: the most difficult parts in doing such picture is to keep a movement even if it's a still picture. And the pose must remain 100% natural, still but non-static. And you've perfectly succeeded: I really have the feeling that I'm going to follow her (at a reasonable distance, of course... π)

A good cultural critic could have a field day with the way in which the internet age and its mores have made the face perhaps the most intimate part of the body.

Plus, a really cute face attached to a great body is primo goodness. :D As for this particular pic, I really like the pose. It's not something that is seen often. And, of course, the lady has a great figure. :3
