"The oil clings to everything, the smell and texture of it coating the entire scene as you weave through the old and new. Rusting and decaying containers are hooked up next to brand new and shining boxcars as workers shout and yell in a friendly manner.
The great engines pulling these mammoth loads hiss and seethe on the broad rails like impatient beasts ready to be let loose, the sounds boiling up from the depths of their engines echoing around the cavernous warehouses next to the tracks.
But there's a strange tinge to the air, beyond the sharp tang of fuel hanging in the breeze. The odd worker glancing around anxiously, sections of the yard that seem devoid of activity, a loud booming chorus from beyond a chained up fence, a shadowed figure moving along the roofs. Or has the chorus of train engines left you on edge?

Hey there everyone!
Huge thanks to SlappinFace for that enticing introduction to the last map for the month of May. I hope your game session(s) will thrive on this battle map!
This train repair yard is massive. It took me way longer to complete than I had anticipated (took a total of two weeks for those who are curious). I think a lot of it had to do with the internal section that depicts the repair and maintenance bays for the train engines. That section is literally half the map that needed to be re-painted. Deciding on how the layout was going to look, when and where to show the internal wall structures etc, it all took a lot more time in general.
Initially, I was going for an abandoned rail yard that was old and dilapidated but realized that without internal lights in the workshop area, the whole section would be in darkness - those of you who have delved in photography and played with light exposure would understand what I'm on about. Thus, I ended up with this iteration of the train yard that is time-current with architectural elements inspired by Cyberpunk 2077.
Note: At the north edge of the battle map, are a few railway tracks that lead down into some tunnels. These eventually will lead to the Abandoned Subway Station. Huge shoutout to the guys over at Discord for spotting this opportunity!
I am rushing to get this out to you guys as I type this, so I am not going to waffle on any longer. Here are the variants that form this battle map pack.

This variant uncovers the workshop and maintenance bay areas. Two separate buildings with their own repair bay sections. There are also staircases that lead up to the rooftop levels from here.
These are for the GM's that want to make it super hard for the aggressors approaching the maintenance bays by removing the majority of train cars from the map, creating more open space and a lot less cover than before.
For those who have access to this variant, I've also included swappable tiles (as well as baked-in versions) for those who want to have more trains in one area of the map but not the other. Have a look at your downloads folder and you'll see what I mean.
