The kitchen is perfect chaos as you enter. Gleaming chrome smeared with sauce and seasoning, pristine pans overflowing with bubbling smell. People shout in anger and in jest as they brew and stew, eyes filled with focus as their hands dance to a beat they're far too familiar with.
Waiters shoulder charge through doors and snatch steaming plates sat waiting on scuffed counters, yelling feedback and insults at the throng of chefs churning around the ovens and appliances.
A roaring blast of frosted air bursts from the freezer as someone retrieves some kind of chilled protein, elegantly sidestepping barrels of broth and jugs of juice before slamming the metal door and diving back into the organized culinary riot.

Thanks as always for the killer intro, SlappinFace!
Hi everyone!
As promised in my previous map release, here is the "Chinese Restaurant Kitchen", the follow up to the Dragon House Chinese Restaurant.
Most of what I have to say about this battle map pack is all about the variants. So without further ado, let's take a look at them!

The members over at the Discord server were polled and everyone who responded said they wanted fire in the kitchen. I suppose it makes sense. So here it is.
The last time I had to paint/draw fire was also in a kitchen sort of setting (see Guard Station / Brig - Arcology Series). That fire was full-on. This time, it's a lot more intense.
The fire partially blocks the main door leading in from the restaurant, and totally blocks the back door (which most likely leads to a back alley or something). Great time to trap some characters in a room with a count-down timer or test player heroics.
Xiao Long Bao's anyone? We all know that Chinese dumplings taste amazing. But the ones made at this kitchen are next-level. Why? Well, there's one secret ingredient.
This map variant includes some chopped up human body parts that's sure to add that pinch of gore to your scenarios. The PC's are going to be pissed to learn what they just ate and will want to hunt down this diabolical chef.
This variant creates a little less space, and a little more cover and chaos to the kitchen, which otherwise would be considered quite spacious.
Once a week, the kitchen gets a large delivery of common groceries and cooking ingredients. These large cardboard boxes and crates take up the kitchen floorspace for a few hours at a time until properly stored.
Use cases:
This variant idea was brought to you buy "LinkIcefang" and "TheFlatline42" (members over at the Discord server). Thanks guys!
I recently watched a Netflix series called "The Brothers Sun". Pretty good flick actually starring Michelle Yeoh. The series showcased many common scenes from American Chinese culture. One of them's the Mahjong gambling backrooms that tend to pop up in the most unsuspecting places. Commonly, they're found in the backrooms of kitchens, laundromats etc.
This map variant is a tile that you overlay in your favorite VTT (virtual tabletop software) such as Foundry VTT, Roll20 etc. The reason I used a tile in this case is so that you can combine this with the other map variants in this pack, such as "Hell's Inferno" and "Weekly Delivery".
That's all for now folks! Thank you again for supporting my work and I look forward to filling you all in again on the next map.
