One click, EASY Reshade + preset installation
Added 2022-05-29 10:23:27 +0000 UTCIf you are having trouble with Reshade and its presets installations, my husband and I made an easy, setup-like installation of reshade with my own preset, which I have posted HERE.
This is mainly for people who don't have reshade installed on their computers. After this setup, you can manually add other presets which are compatible with Reshade version 5.1 and reshade shaders from 3.0.8. I also made two main shortcuts to open Reshade overlay menu (settings), and the effect toggle shortcut. Overlay opens when you click "Home" on your keyboard, while the shortcut to effect toggle is the "Shift+1" combination.
How it works > When you download and start this installation, all you have to do is to point it to your game executable (BIN folder). By default, the installation will point you to the default game installation folder (c:\Program files(x86)\Origin Games\The Sims4\Game\Bin). If your game is installed in any other folder than this, you must click the browse button and select Bin folder where your game is installed.
If the keyboard doesn't have a Home key, it will usually be on one of the number or function keys at the top. Also, you may need to use the Fn key and that number or function key at the same time activate it! Try couple of combinations and you'll find home button!
