"Greetings, and welcome to our temple. Your curiosity regarding our ways is admirable. I will try to explain...
We attend to Cervaela, goddess of the aspects of nature which represent its quiet beauty. She is most often represented by the image of the deer, and it is Her blessing which grants us these forms in order to better commune with Her and contemplate Her domains.
I was not always as you see me now. My birth parents were not equipped to care for me, and so left me in the care of the acolytes here. I bear them no ill will...my life here is peaceful and productive. As children we remain human and are educated in the ways of Cervaela, alongside chores and practical skills. Then at age 16, we are permitted to fully join the temple, and through a secret ritual gain our new forms and new names. Though some of the youth in our care begin life as males, all servants of Cervaela are female, by Her will.
Was I originally male or female? ...Such questions are unwelcome here. I do not take offense because you did not know. Do not mistake my lack of an answer for a conformation either way...I am female now, and that is all that matters.
We are of course permitted to engage in acts of carnal pleasure. Such couplings are considered a thing of beauty to our goddess. I expect this is why you have come to visit, as many others do. There is no shame in it. Tell me when you are ready to partake and we shall begin."
