Cow-workers

Both had grown up on farms and already had familiarity with animal care, so they had a lot in common to talk about. The other workers shook their heads and smirked, seeing the obvious connection that both were too shy to admit.
Then...the "event" happened, the unexplained global phenomenon that reshaped many people into animalistic forms. It seemed random in terms of how it affected people, having little to do with their lifestyles or affiliations...kennel owners might become zebras, cat-lovers might end up as gorillas, that sort of thing. Not these two. It seemed like they were made for the farm, and made for each other...and their new forms were the final push they needed to (vigorously) express their feelings toward each other.
