No ordinary bracelets
Added 2024-06-29 02:36:27 +0000 UTCHer grandfather had disappeared under mysterious circumstances years ago. She never really got to know him that well, and was looking to find out more about him by going through some of his stuff that had been boxed up and set aside from the estate sale.
Two bright gold bracelets caught her eye. Seemed like strange jewelry for a guy like him to have, but they might not have even been for wearing - he'd been something of a gold and silver hoarder. She shrugged and rifled through another box, only to have her thoughts return to those bracelets. There was something oddly compelling about them...in the moment, she lacked the presence of mind to question why they felt like an itch that needed scratching. Almost without thinking, she snapped them on.
As she turned to get back to her rummaging, an unearthly yellow glow rose from her peripheral vision...the bracelets were glowing! Somehow deep within, she felt a sense of...judgement emanating from them? They were telling her that her body was wrong, all wrong, that it needed to be smaller, hairier...she pushed back against those thoughts, but watched as grey fur spread outward from them along her arms. In dumbfounded shock, she protested mentally as the wiry growth spread across her torso and legs, and her nose lengthened into a rodent's snout. Two columns of teats budded down the length of her belly, and a tail burst from her tearing jeans and whipped back and forth. As she squeaked in terror, the bracelets glowed with satisfaction as her body shifted and warped, and eventually began to shrink...
