I'm excited to share that we've reached our third goal of 100 patrons! When I started my Patreon page in May 2018, I was apprehensive about the project. I had some fears and doubts: will my Patreon succeed? Is my YouTube page large enough to run a Patreon? Will anyone become a patron?
All of these trepidations delayed my Patreon launch for weeks and probably months. But I finally decided to launch my page in May last year. I've had been so pleasantly surprised at the growth and engagement both on YouTube and here.
I've calculated that the average YouTube channel with a Patreon page converts just a fraction of 1% of their subscribers to patrons. Even for the most successful Patreon creators, only around 0.2% of their YouTube subscribers also support their work on Patreon.
My Patreon initiative has grown far above average, with 5.8% of YouTube subscribers also deciding to join the Patreon family. Thank you so much to each and every patron for joining my campaign! I have many short-term and long-term goals involving more diverse transcriptions, jazz learning materials, behind-the-scenes on transcribing, and more.
All of this these dreams will soon be possible as Patreon support grows!
Look forward to upcoming transcriptions from Cory Henry, Fred Hersch, Joey Alexander... to name a few. ;)
