Status report
Added 2025-03-05 22:34:53 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Thank you all again for your support so far! I'd like to take some time to give you all an update on what's been going on over the past month.
First, the PC build stream. I realize now that there was a lot more that could go wrong in setting up for it than I initially expected; I had tested the individual components of the stream, but did not do a test stream prior to starting, so that ended up taking longer than expected. In addition, streaming to Discord turned out to be a mistake. The reason I did it that way was so that everyone from every platform would have access to it, not just YouTube members. I will be using a different venue going forward - possibly a private YouTube stream with a URL I'll share to members on Patreon and Ko-Fi as well as YouTube.
Second, I've had some trouble with my new workstation that has prevented me from pressing forward with video production, and troubleshooting and working around it has taken a lot longer than anticipated (I do not want to see memtest86 again for a long time if I can help it). At this point, everything seems stable enough, so I'll be able to continue from this point on. I want to sincerely apologize for the long delay; I knew that starting from scratch would be difficult, but I had hoped that things would be more reliable than they turned out to be.
In order to prioritize getting a new video out sooner, I'm planning for the next video to not be related to the new workstation as planned, but instead an alternative "TechQuickie" style topic that I can get out quickly, and may follow that up with the Bluetooth audio video I teased in the channel intro. Once I get some momentum going, I'll come back to the workstation, because I think there's a lot more to talk about there than I originally expected.
I'm planning to have something out in the next week or so - For those of you who stuck around, I once again would like to sincerely thank you for your support! And if you haven't already joined, the Discord turned out to be a great little community, and I try to be active there whenever I can!

I was wondering what happened to you as I had stopped watching most LTT content for some time. I'm glad you're well and I can be here to support your journey!

2025-03-06 06:30:49 +0000 UTCChillax. Get your ducks in a row and all the gear humming as needed. Then start jotting down themes you would enjoy covering. Next take each theme and break it down to topics and their density then draft script treatment. Really we can wait. Hell I waited what three years for "Severence" to return. If you want to crowdsource some ideas now is the time while you have a small but devoted following.

2025-03-06 01:33:16 +0000 UTCNo worries. I know how you feel. I have driver issues with my 7900xtx, basically any driver after 20240501 every game crashes with any advanced features turned on. As a last resort, I replaced the 850w power supply with (and admittedly older) 1100 watt supply I had - and I had twice now shut down the entire system. And made no difference to the video card. I loaded a tool am makes for troubleshooting driver issues, and whenever it's running, the system performs fine and doesn't crash. I'm so fed up, I just run the debug tool before playing any games 🤣 Take your time to get settled. We're here.

2025-03-05 23:37:53 +0000 UTCNo stress Emily, sometimes the best content is the mistakes that happen (Linus dropping shit) so just lean into it and have a laugh. People are patient and as long as you keep people in the loop you would be surprised how much patience and support your community has. Have fun and remember there's dozens of us rooting for ya!
